Restaurant Carmen has its own unique style which is in harmony with its beautiful gardens and with its warm evenings and sunsets. Accompanied by the tranquility of the place, it creates an ideal environment to enjoy all the dishes that are made in the kitchen. Chef and co-owner David Perez Sanchez, better known as “el abuelo” or the grandfather, uses all his wisdom to create beautiful dishes.
He has a long professional experience of training and work and he has won two editions of the cooking competition “isla bonita para jovenes cocineros” held on the island of La Palma.
Since he loves the kitchen, he is always cooking. Through his dedication and hard he is able to express in each dish what he can transfer from nature together with his knowledge, inspiration and wisdom so that the dish satisfies the customer.
This project motivates Yurena Leal, partner and companion of David, to make sure her love, passion, reflection and motivation for gastronomy resembles that of her husband. She runs the restaurant in the administrative part and is responsible for the smooth running and organization.
In the restaurant we have a polyglot who is one of the best maîtres in the Canary Islands. Armando Pérez has it all to thanks to his passion for cocktail shaking, his interest in learning, knowledge of the wines and refinement in service. We cannot forget Inés, everyone’s wild card, because without her there would not be the same coordination because she is always wherever she is needed.
It is the union of these professionals and everything mentioned above that really makes this restaurant amazing.
