Are you a big sport fanatic and do you want to combine sport and pleasure? Then maybe the Tenerife Bluetrail is something for you!
Tenerife Bluetrail is a trail running event where you can choose between 5 different trails and difficulties. Ranging from the Reto Trail, a trail adapted to people with disabilities to the Ultra Trail, a 101.5 km long endurance trail.
The race is designed in that way that all mountaineers and athletes with different levels of experience can participate. This way, Tenerife Bluetrail pursues a clear objective of total integration stating that trail running is for everyone.
The event will take place on the 8th of June 2019 but the harder Ultra Trail runners will already start their journey on the 7th of June at 11.30pm.
The excruciating Ultra Trail will test your abilities to the fullest. You will start at sea level and reach 3.550m above sea level when you are ascending Teide’s peak. You will have a maximum of 24 hours to complete the trail.
The normal Trail is ‘only’ 66km long and will start at 6am on the 8th of June in Vilaflor. You will be departing from 1.387m above sea level and you will finish at 2.520m. The maximum time for completion is 14 hours.
The third edition of the 43km Marathon will start at 9am and will be departing from La Orotava.
The half marathon, called the Media Trail, will start at 8am and depart from Los Realejos. The runners will have 4 hours to reach the finish line.
And last but not least, the Reto Bluetrail, a special trail adapted to disabled people. Seeing as integration is one of the core values of the Bluetrail organization, this 9th edition will offer an 8.4km and 1.2km trail, located in Puerto de la Cruz.
